She said/he said from Cassie and Steve. The chillest, nicest couple ever.
CASSIE SAYS…
“Stormy has boudoir photography down to a fine art, so when I had the opportunity to shoot with her again and bring my other half with me, I was on cloud nine. The whole experience with Stormy is of no comparison. It was amazing to feel so at ease and see my boyfriend getting on like we were a group of old friends, talking fine dining, job quirks and cute pet prospects whilst shooting glorious imagery. Stormy radiates calmness and positivity because she is such a genuine and uplifting person to be with. I was naturally quite nervous of this photoshoot because not only I am so insecure about my smile but Steve was never exactly a ‘photo kind of guy’ but I was confident that Stormy, with her keen eye and gentle prompts, wouldn’t do anything that was less than fantastic and the images are the proof in the pudding. Stormy made us both feel like we were magnificent together and the photos reflect that calm, happy and comfortable feeling on camera resulting in the most beautiful pictures of us. I definitely welled up when I saw them because having something so perfect of someone you adore is just indescribable. Here’s to my new favourite photo of us both smiling! Who’d have thought it?”

STEVE SAYS…
“If you’d have told me 10 years ago that I’d be in front of a camera I would have laughed, because I am the last person who would consider having general photos at the pub, let alone a boudoir shoot. But now, I can say nothing has made me feel so good. I was nervous and shy at the thought of being in my underwear in an intimate setting with my girlfriend, but I soon realised, after meeting Stormy, that everything was going to be fine. Stormy’s nature being so welcoming, friendly and conversational made the whole experience really enjoyable, and when I saw the photos it certainly exceeded my expectations. Seeing yourself in such a light for the first time really is sensational, I’ve never seen myself as a handsome man, but this experience has made me feel more confident. I’m definitely not ashamed to say I showed everyone those photos because they made me so proud and happy and it was wonderful being able to share that with an amazing photographer and the woman of my dreams.”

I started a “secret” Facebook Group for clients (past, present, and future) a few months back, and it’s been great. It’s a super supportive, girl-power sort of place where we’re chatting about all things Rebel & Romance, and you get a behind the scenes look at my scheming and planning. The goal long term is that it becomes a place for us all to connect and keep in touch, but also an online community you actually like. We’re posting feminist rants right alongside pop culture memes and what we’re up to, so there’s something for everyone. If you’d like to join us, just find me on FB and let me know. We’d love to have you.
Recently, a few people in the group have been asking if I shoot couple’s boudoir (I do!). You don’t see much of this type of session from me because my clients tend to have professional or public eye sort of jobs. You know – teacher, lawyers, academia, etc. from which they would be summarily fired for *gasp* having a life outside of work.
Anyway, I asked the group for volunteers and turned up these two hotties;)
Meet C & S
Yaaaaassssss right?!
This is actually my favourite couple’s wardrobe combo – man in sharp suit, woman in high end lingerie. Cassie is wearing the Lascivious Kitty set in black.
Steve was concerned he wasn’t “model material,” to which I now say: rubbish.
Every couple has a different comfort level, so I also wanted to show a set that feels more approachable and casual.
Sunday morning in bed. Apparently these images are missing a cat, but otherwise pretty spot on:)
Easy enough right?
You and your partner could totally do this.
A last quick wardrobe change because this lingerie is so nice. Cassie is wearing the Freolic Grace Greige set here.
Black and whites work particularly well for couple’s photo shoots, and they have a nice, timeless sort of thing going for them.
It’s honestly not as scary as it seems. I’ll say funny things, y’know? Maybe do a little dance…whatever it takes so you both feel like you’re less weird than I am;)
C & S – you two are a dream to work with – and who knew y’all were going to look so hot as well?! Thanks a bunch. We must all do dinner soon! xx Stormy
A rare treat today – a few anonymous images from a recent couple’s boudoir shoot. This pair has an edgy, alternative vibe and were great fun to work with. To maintain their privacy, we’re keeping everything cloak and dagger, but you can still get a feel for how things turned out;)
Love a good black and white details shot.
I know this is just one person, but how gorgeous does Mrs. look here? Those shoes too…
Bums and hands:)
Seeeriously. Legs for days.
We did an “Eyes Wide Shut” inspired set with some of the Venetian masks I have available for clients. Obviously you can’t see them here, but they turned out great and it’s a theme I’d happily shoot again.
Anyone else feeling like it’s time to hit the gym? Such good figures on these two.
A slightly different frame here. It think black and white feels more classic.
Good light never fails.
Jeffrey Campbell spiked boots and lots of edgy accessories made for a completely different feel to the second half of the shoot. Part of the fun of a photo shoot is that you can put your own personality and style into it, whether you’re the corporate power suit type, the rock ‘n roll headbanger type, or something in between.
Mr. and Mrs., it was lovely working with both of you!
Couples Boudoir Photography: Ian and Chiyo’s London Boudoir Photo Shoot
Couples Boudoir is not my specialty, but I’ve been getting so many questions about it lately that it seemed high time I actually show you all what one looks like! In a spell of perfect timing, Chiyo and Ian got in touch a few weeks ago to ask about having me photograph them together. I said yes, and the best part is, I even get to share the results with you here!
Ian is Irish and lives in Ireland. Beautiful Chiyo is French and Japanese, and lives in Germany. To kick off their shiny new long distance love affair (awww!) we all met up in London for some saucy Couples Boudoir Photography.
I’m not going to lie, sometimes the idea of a Couples Boudoir Photography Session makes me nervous. It just seems like it could be so awkward and uncomfortable for everyone involved. However, what I’ve learned is that it really doesn’t need to be. As long as one partner isn’t dragging the other one along and everyone stays relatively professional, it’s actually a lot of fun! Plenty of communication before the shoot meant we all knew what the goals of the day were, and what sort of images we were aiming to create together.
In other words, I emailed Ian a few days before and insisted, “NO funny business Mister!”
Just kidding. But seriously, no funny business.
Look at those eyes! Gorgeous! I think it I had to pick out of the genetic lottery, France and Japan are not two pretty lucky draws.
This is my favourite image of the day. Mushy happy lovey faces? Yes please!
A location change to mix things up. I love how these turned out. You can’t even tell how freezing cold it was.
I suppose that’s another benefit to bringing a boy along – you get someone to cuddle up to! As these two are from afar, I made sure we got a great image with the London skyline in the background to commemorate their time together while in the city. Nothing beats a little wind in the hair either.
Some people are hesitant about booking a Couples Boudoir Session, but it doesn’t have to be any more revealing than you are both comfortable with, especially if it’s been a while since you’ve been photographed professionally. You really don’t have to be half naked to have a personal, intimate Couples Boudoir Photography Session.
How great are these shoes?! There’s no way I could ever walk in them, but props Chiyo. Props for still having two functional ankles, I am impressed.
One last outfit change for Chiyo…
If you’re not feeling daring enough to be photographed in lingerie, a Couples Boudoir Session can be a great way to get some use out of a that one dress we’ve all got in the back of our closet…you know, the one can’t believe you ever bought because it’s way too short/tight/low cut for public? Get it out, we’ll justify the money you spent on it.
Ahhh…love this one too! These two are too cute!
Towards the end of the shoot, we got about 30 seconds of sun. It was just enough for a beautiful little sun flare shot.
Just a few last intimate images to celebrate new love. Hot hot hot.
Chiyo and Ian, you were both fantastic to work with! I hope you had a fantastic time in London together, hope to see you both again soon!
