Boudoir Photography London: Miss D’s London Boudoir Photography Session
Remember those three days of summer we got this year? I know, I know, over before it even began! Nevertheless, I did manage to sneak in a new Rebel & Romance London Boudoir Photography Session while the sun was out, and I’m excited to be sharing it with you today!
Meet the (incredibly) beautiful Debbie, who is one of my favourite makeup artists and frequently joins me at the studio to offer her makeup skills to my clients. Some of you may recognize her from your own sessions! Although she’s spent years working on photography and film sets, this was Debbie’s very first experience being photographed professionally, and it was great to have the honour.
Debbie also volunteered to be my guniea pig (albeit a very glamourous one) for a brand new set! I’ve been collecting pieces for this look for ages – it’s based around the theme “Indian Summer.” Even though I doubt we’ll actually GET an Indian Summer, I like the idea of it. Very romantic sounding, don’t you think?
This bedspread from Urban Outfitters (the American store only, it’s not available in the UK I’m afraid) is probably my favourite piece. It’s so colourful and whimsical, without being too brash. I’m hoping to use it quite a bit more for other Rebel & Romance London Boudoir Photography Sessions. I’ve been scouring the internet for all manner of fun pillows and cushions to add to the feel of everything, and while still a bit of a work in progress, I think it’s all starting to come together. For outfit inspiration, we channeled a sort of moody bohemian gypsy character. I think this sort of style looks great because it’s got so much texture, and it’s unbelievably simple to put together. We just stared with a few key pieces, and then kept layering on all manner of jewelry and accessories until it looked right. Of course you don’t want to forget a pair of statement shoes though! These Brian Atwood peep toe heels are from the Rebel & Romance Wardrobe, so you’re more than welcome to borrow for your own session.
I’m constantly impressed with Debbie’s makeup artistry, but c’mon – she’s really outdone herself here! We went for a very dark smoky eye using an assortment of products from my favourite brand MAC. This sort of look is often too strong for indoor sessions, but I like the mood it sets in relation to the harsh sunlight we had on the day. Most of Miss D’s jewelry is also from the Rebel & Romance Wardrobe, including bothhigh end pieces and some very convincing high street fakes, so we can easily put a look like this together for you, even if it isn’t your everyday style.
If you hadn’t heard or figured it out already, I put a bed up outside on the studio terrace. I’m completely addicted to shooting outside now – it’s so nice to be in the breeze, and the elements give the imagery a really authentic and interesting feel.
I’d intended almost all of these images to be finished as colour prints. Miss D and I had done so much planning regarding outfit choices and bedding, that a saturated palette seemed like a no-brainer. Once I started processing the images though, I fell in love with the way these black and whites came out. I’d love to also mention how good these hair extensions are looking. You’d never know if I hadn’t told you, right?! Genius.
You may remember the colour image of this version. I posted it as a teaser on the Rebel & Romance Boudoir Photography Facebook Page a little while ago. I like this darker version too, so I included it here.
It was scorching hot. So hot that the lovely Miss D almost passed out on me while wearing this burgundy corset number…
…but… she stuck it out with me long enough to create this set of edgy, high fashion images, which I’m so pleased about. It’s an absolute tribute to Miss D’s cheekbones that she can pull of such harsh sunlight. This sort of lighting tends to either look amazing or terrible – a real high risk/high reward scenario.
Debbie is wearing my very favourite AllSaints earrings here, which look amazing but unfortunately weigh about a stone and a half. Each. I think her feathers were originally meant to be a belt, but we liked it as a shawl much better.
It only we alllllll could have these legs!?
Miss D, thank you SO much. You’re oh-so-beautiful, and I promise to never ever give you heat stroke again!
Ready to start planning your own Boudoir Photography Session?
I’m happy to announce that the Indian Summer set is now available for all clients, for a limited time only. If you’re drawn to this sort of look and style, I’d highly encourage you to have a look at the Indian Summer Pinterest Board I created in preparation for Miss D’s shoot. It’s full of all sorts of wardrobe ideas, hair and makeup looks, and just general boho/hippie/gypsy fabulousness. This set is only good as long as the weather lasts, so don’t delay.
If you’d like more details about how a session with me works, what to expect, how to prepare, and availability this summer, just give me a call! You can reach me (Stormy) at 07799 390468. I’ll explain everything you need to know, we can get to know each other a bit better, and I’ll be able to answer any questions you might have about the process. It’s important to me that you have a great experience and leave with products and images you love, and the best way to ensure that happens is by getting to know YOU, what you love and hate, what things you might be scared or excited about, and why you’re thinking about booking in a session. If you’re a bit nervous (understandable, but not necessary!) you can get a feel for everything before we chat by subscribing to updates from my blog, following the Facebook Page, and/or joining me on Pinterest. A word of caution: I cannot be held responsible if you become totally and completely addicted to Pinterest, which you will. You’ve been warned.
London Boudoir Photography Studio Session: E’s Boudoir Photo Shoot
Miss E and I got together last week for her second London Boudoir Photography session, which I’m excited to share with you today!
Eugenie’s first session was a huge hit, so be sure to check it out here if you missed it: E’s First Rebel & Romance London Boudoir Photography Studio Session. For her second go, we chose a younger, more contemporary style. We also got really lucky with a spot of sun, and managed to create a few images on the terrace before the clouds rolled in.
We started with very simple hair and makeup for the outdoor images.
Plenty of sunshine and a very sweet, lilac coloured lingerie set make for super cute images.
These images are so fun to create, and you really can’t go wrong with poses either. The sillier, the better.
Series like these work great as several prints framed together too!
Next, we moved on to a darker, more sultry look E is wearing a D&G wrap from our London Boudoir Photography Wardrobe in these, and doing the patented hair flip move.
Stunning!
Ugh – those eyes are killer!
Miss E, you’re beautiful as ever. It was great photographing you again, enjoy your summer!
London Boudoir Photography: Jess’s Boudoir Session
The multi-talented Miss Jess was in the studio last week for her London Boudoir Photography Session, and I’m thrilled with the way it turned out….just had to share with you!
Jess works as a professional dancer and actress, and I’m sure we’ll be seeing her on the West End stage soon! She gets bonus points from me, because even though she looks like the sort of girl you want to hate, she’s totally down to earth and absolutely hilarious. Win/win!
Jess needed a few new images for her portfolio, so we focused part of her London Boudoir Photography session around creating clean, simple images that would show off her (bangin’!) body.
We specialise in London Boudoir Photography, but these sorts of images work perfectly for modeling and acting portfolios, and personal websites as well. Just one more excuse to come visit us for the day!
Dancers move soooo well! Neither of these poses are half as easy as she’s making them look. Not in heels anyway!
We also took a few casual head shots, showing a range of expressions for her acting portfolio. I think the devilish grin is my favourite from this set.
Oh hello lovely.
And then, we had some fun! This is a statement dress if I’ve ever seen one, and it’s only from the high street!
I think if you gave Dr. Seuss a sewing machine this is probably what he’d come up with.
But just wait for this next image…
BAM.
Jess, you’re freaking amazing. Full stop. Thanks for an amazing shoot!
xx

London Boudoir Photography: Jen’s Tea Party Inspired Boudoir Photo Shoot
On the blog today, a beautiful little London Boudoir Photography session with Jen!
Jen and I got together a while back to create some images for her new fashion blog, but when the shoot wrapped up I sweet talked her into a few boudoir images as well (the boys are so jealous of me).
I just couldn’t let such a great set go!
Jen is wearing a wrap which is very similar to our D&G Kimono Wrap. A piece like this is always one of my favourite things to work into a shoot, because you can use it in so many different ways. It’s nice to have something to do with your hands if you’re a bit nervous, or to disguise the bits you’re not in love with:)
Our set for the day was inspired by a fashionista tea party, so we had plenty of bubbly, cute cupcakes, magazines and lots of lollies and designer swag on hand.
Jen cut her hair the DAY BEFORE the shoot. Ballsy, but it obviously looks great.
Proof you don’t have to show a ton of skin to get the point across.
See? We have lots of fun around here!
A quick phone call…”More bubbly please. Bring the chocolate as well.”
Thanks for a great London Boudoir Photography Photo Shoot Jen! You’re sickeningly gorgeous as always!

Ready to book your own London Boudoir Photography Photo Shoot?
It’s my pleasure to share a very special London Boudoir Photography Session with you today. I share a lot of London Boudoir Photography Sessions that feature young, thin models, but I’m lucky enough to work with women of all shapes, sizes, and ages, and they are all stunning and beautiful, but often less keen on sharing images publicly.
The lovely Janice is a great example of our work with more mature clients. Elegant, beautiful, and full of life, she was such a pleasure to photograph. If I told you how old she really is, you would fall right off your chair.
We started off with some lovely detail images. These are great storytelling shots that make an album flow together nicely. Or, if you’re half exhibitionist and half shy, is something you can put on the wall without showing your face:)
Janice is wearing a cream lingerie set with a lavender wrap and statement necklace. I’ve backlit her in these images – it’s one of my favourite sets because it flatters all figures.
Oh Jan! So gorgeous with those big cat eyes!
Jan’s haircut suits her perfectly, yes? This wrap is great too – perfect for de-emphasizing upper arms if you’re so inclined. Not that Ms. J needs it!
Ms. Jan’s story is fascinating. After a proper career, she’s rediscovered her creative side as a mature model and is having much success and fun doing so. She’s got a website, which you can see here, as well as contracts with several agencies. She’s also an Ambassador of Mature Models for Models of Diversity, which we love.
A bit more colour with this look. This sort of look is a great option for the more mature woman who wants to keep clothed (and/or those of us keen to hide our tummies) because it’s sensual without being too revealing.
I looooove these images. I think they highlight what Jan is all about, and I couldn’t pick my favourites so I’m just showing you all of them!
Jan, you’re amazing. Thanks for your exceedingly great patience in waiting for me to get these finished up for you, and for a great London Boudoir Photography Session!

London Boudoir Photography: Annie’s Outdoor Boudoir Photo Shoot
The lovely Annie is back on the blog a second time today!
Professional plus size model Annie and I had an in-studio shoot months ago (Annie’s London Boudoir Photography Session) and we’ve been trying to schedule a second shoot ever since. With our crazy schedules it’s taken longer than we hoped, but we finally managed and it was worth the wait!
I love photographing outdoors in natural light, so with the help of fellow photographer Nicola Johnson, we all arranged to meet up at a stunning, secluded spot outside London…
Who wants to go Glamping with me here? The Only Way is Essex style!
Annie did her own makeup and hair for this shoot, and I think it looks great. Sometimes less is more.
Annie is wearing a vintage cream slip dress I brought along in these images. Lingerie is always great for a London Boudoir Photography session, but there is nothing wrong with covering up a bit more either!
For the second look Annie wore a white bodysuit and tan wrap. This luscious green patch was on Nicola’s shot list, and I think the contrasting colour is really nice.
A good pair of boots is a must have for any location shoot – for photographers and models. Bonus points if they are cute enough to make it into the final images.
These are some of my favourite images from the day. Such a beautiful backdrop, and a gorgeous model as well.
Annie makes it look so easy! I’d love to do more London Boudoir Photography sessions outdoors, so get in touch if you’re up for it!
For the last look, we brought out the sparkly hot pants. That’s right, I said sparkly hot pants.
This looks effortless, but I can assure you it was not. Annie almost died. Oookay, not really, but it was not a very glamourous dismount!
My favourite pose of the day!
Annie, you were fab as always! Thanks for a great session, your Blue Steel modelling skills, and trekking halfway across England with me! xx Stormy

I feel like this cartoon is a very accurate portrayal, except that it’s missing out the part where you decide you MUST clean your house/cook dinner from scratch/rearrange the files on your computer/etc. before you could possibly concentrate on whatever you’re putting off.
Dear Mom, please stop asking me what the weather is like in London every time we speak. It is like THIS, always.
My all time favourite chandelier by the genius Lee Bul. Lee is a South Korean born contemporary artist, and her work has appeared in solo exhibitions worldwide. She does primarily exhibition pieces.
When I first came across I didn’t realise it was a proper piece of art. I spent an hour trying to find a price before realising that 1) it’s not for sale 2) it’s faaaaar too expensive even if it were.

Gorgeous. Six feet tall (not kidding). Has the most daring haircut I’ve seen this year.
I live vicariously through these women with brave hair, because despite all manner of pep talks, I seem to be physically unable to request anything other than long layers when I’m in the hairdresser’s chair.
On a second note, this post is too long. I’m fully aware, but I just could not narrow it down any further.
Alongside her other gigs, Miss E makes regular appearances for ASOS Marketplace. She also struts her extra long legs down the catwalk for various lingerie designers and fashion brands.
One last set of these! These two backdrops are swiftly becoming some of our favourites for London Boudoir Photography sessions.
I’ve been dying to do a “geek chic” themed London Boudoir Photography Session for ages. We hadn’t discussed it beforehand, so when Emma pulled this adorable jumper out of her bag I was knew the photographic gods had smiled on us. Let the hot nerdyness begin…
Long socks? Why not? If anyone has the gams to pull it off it’s this lady!
Our impromptu London Boudoir Photography “Geek Chic” look was completed with a pair of 3D Glasses, which we popped the eyepieces out of, and an old newspaper.
Vulnerability is beautiful, no?
Rolling around on the floor looking glam, as you do…
Suddenly, I remembered that I am a photographer (wha?!) and have a vintage camera.
If I could just look this good while photographing sessions….ah, that would be the day!
For our last set, Miss E put on something a bit more sultry.
A smoky eye completes the look.
I’m working on a new series of poses that show off our floor to ceiling windows. Miss E nails it, of course, but these poses work for us mere mortals as well. I’m looking for a curvy lady to prove it, so don’t be shy! If you’re a bootylicious babe and would like to help me show how beautiful women of all sizes and shapes are, please get in touch. Just leave a comment below, or drop me an email.
A bit of creative colouring to wrap things up!
Miss E, you’re amazing. Thanks for a great session!

London Boudoir Photography: Miss Bettina’s Boudoir
Photo Shoot
I’m not a huge fan of pin up. I know, I know…gasps heard worldwide. But, I do love a London Boudoir Photography Session with a vintage vibe about it, so I was thrilled when Miss Bettina walked through my door with her magnificently retro hair. We combined Miss B’s love of all things vintage with my style of London Boudoir Photography to create a set of pin-up inspired but contemporary feeling images. Enjoy!
Bettina is wearing a peachy-pink Agent Provocateur bodysuit for her first look. I love the contrast of her colorful tattoos with the softness and romantic feel of this lingerie and backlit set.
If you go gaga for pin up and vintage revival, you’ll want to know that fab Miss B is currently studying fashion and fashion styling, and is arranging a fashion show to support the Royal Brompton & Harefield Charitable fund. The show will feature the best of the best in 1940’s and 50’s reproduction clothing, as well as burlesque and cabaret acts, live music, and more. It’s going to be a blast I’m sure, so to get your tickets, visit The New Vintage Look event page, or buy direct here.
Oh yes. Sparkly shoes never fail us around here!
A bright red lip (We heart MAC’s colours this season) and matching nails aren’t a bad way to go either.
Oh Miss B, talented and beautiful….you’re a heartbreaker if I ever did see one!
This second look is probably my favourite of the day, that colour, those frills…
I’ve recently been playing with turning the lights down low for a more moody, mysterious look. What do you think? A keeper or no?
I had to post all of these, because Miss B worked s0 hard to perfect these poses, and they all look amazing. Well done lady!
To finish up, a few images creative images of Miss B wearing the new birdcage veil we’ve ordered for our London Boudoir Photography clients that are currently engaged and arranging a sneaky surprise session for their lucky partners.
Miss B, it was such a pleasure photographing you. Best of luck with your upcoming fashion show, but I’m sure you won’t need it;)
