Photo Shoot

My dear blog readers, meet Emma…

Gorgeous. Six feet tall (not kidding). Has the most daring haircut I’ve seen this year.

I live vicariously through these women with brave hair, because despite all manner of pep talks, I seem to be physically unable to request anything other than long layers when I’m in the hairdresser’s chair.

On a second note, this post is too long. I’m fully aware, but I just could not narrow it down any further.

Alongside her other gigs, Miss E makes regular appearances for ASOS Marketplace. She also struts her extra long legs down the catwalk for various lingerie designers and fashion brands.

Soft window light and lace lingerie, gorgeous eyes, killer curves. Buon giorno, bellissimo!

One last set of these! These two backdrops are swiftly becoming some of  our favourites for London Boudoir Photography sessions.

I’ve been dying to do a “geek chic” themed London Boudoir Photography Session for ages. We hadn’t discussed it beforehand, so when Emma pulled this adorable jumper out of her bag I was knew the photographic gods had smiled on us. Let the hot nerdyness begin…

Long socks? Why not? If anyone has the gams to pull it off it’s this lady!

Our impromptu London Boudoir Photography “Geek Chic” look was completed with a pair of 3D Glasses, which we popped the eyepieces out of, and an old newspaper.

Vulnerability is beautiful, no?

Rolling around on the floor looking glam, as you do…

Suddenly, I remembered that I am a photographer (wha?!) and have a vintage camera.

If I could just look this good while photographing sessions….ah, that would be the day!

For our last set, Miss E put on something a bit more sultry.

A smoky eye completes the look.

I’m working on a new series of poses that show off our floor to ceiling windows. Miss E nails it, of course, but these poses work for us mere mortals as well. I’m looking for a curvy lady to prove it, so don’t be shy! If you’re a bootylicious babe and would like to help me show how beautiful women of all sizes and shapes are, please get in touch. Just leave a comment below, or drop me an email.

A bit of creative colouring to wrap things up!

Miss E, you’re amazing. Thanks for a great session!

xx

I’m not a huge fan of pin up. I know, I know…gasps heard worldwide. But, I do love a London Boudoir Photography Session with a vintage vibe about it, so I was thrilled when Miss Bettina walked through my door with her magnificently retro hair. We combined Miss B’s love of all things vintage with my style of London Boudoir Photography to create a set of pin-up inspired but contemporary feeling images. Enjoy!

Bettina is wearing a peachy-pink Agent Provocateur bodysuit for her first look. I love the contrast of her colorful tattoos with the softness and romantic feel of this lingerie and backlit set.

If you go gaga  for pin up and vintage revival, you’ll want to know that fab Miss B is currently studying fashion and fashion styling, and is arranging a fashion show to support the Royal Brompton & Harefield Charitable fund. The show will feature the best of the best in 1940’s and 50’s reproduction clothing, as well as burlesque and cabaret acts, live music, and more. It’s going to be a blast I’m sure, so to get your tickets, visit The New Vintage Look event page, or buy direct here.

Oh yes. Sparkly shoes never fail us around here!

A bright red lip (We heart MAC’s colours this season) and matching nails aren’t a bad way to go either.

Oh Miss B, talented and beautiful….you’re a heartbreaker if I ever did see one!

This second look is probably my favourite of the day, that colour, those frills…

I’ve recently been playing with turning the lights down low for a more moody, mysterious look. What do you think? A keeper or no?

I had to post all of these, because Miss B worked s0 hard to perfect these poses, and they all look amazing. Well done lady!

To finish up, a few images creative images of Miss B wearing the new birdcage veil we’ve ordered for our London Boudoir Photography clients that are currently engaged and arranging a sneaky surprise session for their lucky partners.

Miss B, it was such a pleasure photographing you. Best of luck with your upcoming fashion show, but I’m sure you won’t need it;)

Happy Valentine’s Day!

It’s such a polarising day isn’t it? Even though most of us know it was just invented by corporations to sell more cards and chocolates, it still seems to turn into such a big deal. You end up caring, even though you don’t care!

Whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day today, or layering on the eyeliner in UnValentine’s Day tradition, you’ve got our love. Or un-love. Whichever you prefer!

In the festive spirit, I wanted to share something special with you today. Soooooo, I bring you the lovely Miss E’s Boudoir Photo Shoot, one of my favorites to date!

Miss E is a classically trained dancer and aspiring art agent, and I think the images we created during her Boudoir Photo Shoot reflect that aesthetic…

Are you not loooooving our new orchid backdrops?

E wore an cream Agent Provocateur playsuit for her first look, matched with stockings and our vintage pearls.

Oh those eyes!

We got lucky with a bit of sun in the studio for Miss E’s Boudoir Photo Shoot, which is always a treat.

I love how mysterious E looks in these. Maybe this is what happens when you grow up in a house full of artists?

I love the monochrome palette of this set. E wears a delicate lace and crystal vintage bodysuit and our Christian Dior snakeskin heels.

Oooh la la legs…

Hair in a messy side set chignon, like all the prettiest French girls do…

Miss E, you’re oh-so-stunning, and such a lovely woman as well. It was a pleasure to photography you. Thank you for a great boudoir photo shoot, and best of luck with things in New York!

London Boudoir Photography: Cassie’s Halloween Pictures

What better way to celebrate than with some cool, fashion-inspired Halloween pictures? Boudoir style of course!

The lovely Miss Cassie and I got together last week for a Halloween-inspired Boudoir Photography session…

…pumpkins and all!

Our first Halloween pictures were on the theme of “little devil,” and I love how these turned out. If nothing else, it’s proof that Halloween pictures don’t have to be tacky or overly gruesome.

Cassie is wearing a tutu style skirt from our boudoir wardrobe as part of her “little devil” getup.

Next, we went for a bridal boudoir feel. I think these turned out a bit more masquerade ball than bridal, but Cassie still looks beautiful and mysterious!

Cassie is wearing an Oscar de la Renta bridal corset in these Halloween pictures, courtesy of our boudoir wardrobe.

Then an elvish/lady of the lake set…

Followed by a Lady Gaga inspired look!

All the masks we used in Cassie’s Halloween Boudoir Photography Session are courtesy of the lovely and talented Tanith at The Masque Boutique. Tanith is both designer and creator, and she’s got a great selection of products available.

If you’ve looking for something special, she also offers bespoke design services (for extremely reasonable rates), so it’s well worth a look around!

To finish up, a cheeky cat costume on the terrace.

Cassie, it was fab (as always) working with you! xxx!

Happy Halloween everyone! Now go create your own beautiful Halloween pictures tonight, and remember – no candy from strangers!

London Hen Party : A Burlesque Themed Boudoir Party!

London Hen Party : A Burlesque Themed Boudoir Party!

London Hen Party : A Burlesque Themed Boudoir Party!

If you’re planning a London Hen Party soon, you’re definitely going to want to check this out…

I’m thrilled to announce that Rebel and Romance is now offering Hen Parties! We’ve got several different packages available, so whether you want to keep it simple with a Boudoir Photography Experience Package, or go hog wild with a Burlesque Themed Boudoir Party (complete with Burlesque dance lessons, makeovers, and a photo shoot for each Hen!), we’ve got something to suit. If you’ve got something special in mind, we’ll come up with a bespoke idea for a bespoke bride!

Every London Hen Party package includes the following for each Hen; a nerve-calming welcome drink, nibbles, a professionally edited and retouched (airbrushed) 5×7 print, and a 5×7 print of the whole group together. We’ve also got a giant selection of designer lingerie, corsets, and fabulous shoes in a variety of sizes, so no need to spend out for new digs. If you’re working to a budget for your London Hen Party, you’re welcome to brink your own drinks and order in food to the studio too!

I could tell you over and over how much fun we had at our first London Hen Party / Burlesque Boudoir Party, but I think it would be best to just show you…

(For this London Hen Party, the Hens chose a Burlesque Boudoir theme. We arranged to have a full makeover for each hen, as well as a burlesque dance lesson and a Rebel & Romance photo shoot experience.)

Below, a behind the scenes look at a Burlesque Dance Lesson, taught by the lovely Miss Zuki….

 Fabulous, no?!

Next, it’s makeover time! For our first London Hen Party, I was joined by the lovely and talented session stylist Emma Hellier, who is the owner and pink-haired sweetheart from the Emma Hellier Salon. Professional makeup artists Emma K and Jennifer Garcia also joined us to create beautiful, glamourous boudoir makeup looks for each Hen, and you can tell from the testimonials that they really outdid themselves!

The Hens from this London Hen Party gave me permission to post their “before” pictures, and although each of them is beautiful just how they are, you can really see what a little pampering and camera magic can do!

My first lovely Hen – Miss Emmira…

Miss Emmira is stunning, no? I love love love her corset, it’s such a great way to do a Burlesque look!

And this is how to do feather boas – classy, not trashy!

Emmira is wearing our sequined Armani heels here, which are yours to borrow for any session. Emmira, you’re a knockout! Thanks so much mama!

Watch the video below for Emmira’s thoughts on her session. (I promise I didn’t tell any of these girls what to say!)

Next up, the lovely Miss Selda!

 Before…

And after! Selda is wearing a Victoria’s Secret lace up corset and lacy, strappy black bottoms, both from our boudoir wardrobe.

She also happens to have the most amazing hair…ever.

SO PRETTY! Selda, you were fab, thanks for a great shoot!

 My next victim was Jasz…

…who is just so fierce that it makes you a little sick.

Miss Jasz is the perfect example of how to make your boudoir shoot reflect your personality. If you’re a colorful, bold, bright person, then choose your lingerie to follow suit!

You can always tone it down with a black and white image anyway!

Jasz looks amazing upside down. It’s a fact! Thanks for a great shoot lady!

And then there was Victoria,

who totally blew me away!

Is she not the classiest lip-ring wearer you’ve ever seen in your life?!

I love her Tim Burton inspired lingerie too, so cool! And those eyes….!!

Oh Miss Uma Thurman Victoria, you are so beautiful – inside and out! I’m so glad you enjoyed your time with us!

Last but not least, Miss Emma! Emma was our hairstylist for this London Hen Party, and we were having so much fun that she got talked into joining the rest of the girls!

Emma is like a little bundle of fire – gorgeous blue eyes and shocking pink hair.

Emma is wearing a pink corset with black lace detail and a frilly black tu-tu, both from our boudoir wardrobe. Her shoes were a gift from her Mr. – a man with very good taste it seems!

Oooh Emma, I can’t thank you enough – your were amazeballs!

So that’s it! Massive thanks to all the lovely Hens, Emma (hairstylist), Emma (makeup artist) and Jenn, and of course Miss Zuki! Hope to see all of you girls again very soon!

London Boudoir Photography: Miss Zuki’s Boudoir Photo Shoot

London Boudoir Photography: Miss Zuki’s Boudoir Photo Shoot

This week’s London Boudoir Photography session stars Miss Zuki,

…dancer, student, yummy mummy, and gorgeous to boot! We started off with a ballet inspired London Boudoir Photography look, complete with a frilly tu-tu and Victoria’s Secret corset borrowed from our lingerie wardrobe here at the studio.

Zuki felt confident doing her own boudoir makeup so we skipped having a professional makeup artist for her session. I think she did such a great job – heaven knows I can’t manage eyeliner wings like that!

Zuki teaches belly dancing classes, so her second London Boudoir Photography look was inspired by those shimmying hips. I love love love the gold beaded belt she brought along. The flowered bra in the image above right is also borrowed from our lingerie wardrobe here at the studio. Zuki’s shoes are her own.

It’s hard work looking so glamourous, so we moved things to the bedroom set for a bit.

I love this boudoir photo on the left – it’s the perfect blend of casual, sexy, and approachable. Sure to lure in any man!

You can never ever go wrong with sky high strappy heels and great hair. It’s a matter of fact.

Oh Zuki – it must be hard to be so beautiful!

Our last set for this London Boudoir Photography session was a pretty-in-pink ensamble,

…with one amazing head shot to finish up a fabulous shoot! Miss Zuki, thanks so much for a wonderful shoot! Can’t wait to get going with our little project – see you very soon!

London Boudoir Photography: Plus size boudoir model Annie’s session, Part Two!

London Boudoir Photography: Plus size boudoir model Annie’s session, Part Two!

London Boudoir Photography: Plus size boudoir model Annie’s session, Part Two!

On Monday I posted part one of plus size boudoir model Annie’s session, and I’m thrilled to show you the second half today!

For the second half of her plus size boudoir session, Annie and I headed outside. We wanted these images to have a much more fashion oriented look, which I think we managed nicely with a black victorian era top and lacy short bottoms courtesy of Victoria’s Secret.

Bold lips, a messy up do, and glamourous earrings complete the look. Fierce!

If you missed the first half of this plus size boudoir session, then you should know that Annie is a fabulous plus size model with a heart of gold. She’s had loads of success in the industry, working for big names like Marks and Spencer and Special K!

Miss Annie has just recently signed with one of the most well respected plus size modelling agencies, Hughes Models.

Big surprise right? She’s so stunning, of course she’s on their books! If you’re feeling shocked that this is what a plus size model looks like, I HEAR YOU.  The fashion industry needs a bit of a reality check if you ask me!

To finish up the shoot, we decided to get a little crazy. Larah, our makeup artist for this plus size boudoir session, was right on cue. She whipped out the most extravagant false eyelashes I’ve ever seen! I had my doubts, but was pleasantly surprised when these images turned out looking so cool!

Something about these reminds me of Rachel Bilson….maybe it’s Annie’s swagger!

Did someone say pin up?

Oh Annie! You’re fab fab fab! Thanks for an amazing day, can’t wait to see you again!

Want more? I thought so! Check out the rest of Annie’s plus size boudoir session here.

Stay tuned for more plus size boudoir photography, on the blog soon!

London Boudoir Photography: Plus size boudoir model Annie’s session, Part One

London Boudoir Photography: Plus size boudoir model Annie’s session, Part One!

In case you missed the sneak peek of Annie’s plus size boudoir photo shoot the other day, let me introduce you to this lovely lady…

…Blogland, meet Annie!

Annie is a successful plus size model, so much so that her cv includes powerhouse companies like Marks and Spencer and Special K. She’s also done a load of plus size boudoir work, modelling lingerie for all sorts of catalogs and campaigns.

Annie also happens to be one of nicest, friendliest people you’re ever going to meet! We started off our boudoir photo shoot with a simple blue lingerie set and a natural makeup look.

But what’s a plus size boudoir session without a little glamour, eh? Annie changed into a sumptuous lavender playsuit for her second look, and we got down to business with a smoky eye.

Now, I know what you’re thinking…. “Ummm, really? THIS GIRL is plus size?! THIS is plus size boudoir?” (And I hear you!) In the real world – no. Annie is beautiful and healthy at a completely normal size 14. However, in the starved world of fashion where a meal consisting of ice chips and lettuce leaves is acceptable – yes, Annie is plus size. *rolls eyes*

The good news is that even on the catwalks things are starting to change, and I’m so pleased to learn that Annie has just been accepted to one of the most prestigious plus size modelling agencies, the one and only Hughes Models!

With a face like that, it’s no surprise they snapped her up!

Annie and I had such a great shoot that I just can’t narrow down my favorites, so I’ll be posting more from her session later this week! Stay tuned for some fabulous outdoor boudoir and playful pin up props!

Just can’t get enough? Check out my thoughts on Steven Meisel’s plus size boudoir shoot for Vogue Italia.

More plus size boudoir, coming soon!

London Boudoir Photography: Alana’s Boudoir Photo Shoot

London Boudoir Photography: Alana’s Boudoir Photo Shoot

London Boudoir Photography: Alana’s Boudoir Photo Shoot!

This week’s London boudoir photography session features the gorgeous Alana, who came by a few days ago to help me test out our brand new studio. You may have caught the sneak peek I posted the other day, but if you missed it don’t worry – it’s time to see more of what we got up to right now!

I’m in love with Alana’s skin – it’s positively radient. And those eyes!

These images are what every Sunday morning should be – relaxed, beautiful, and full of light.

Next, we moved from Sunday morning to Friday night, with winged eyeliner and a sexy leather skirt – va va voom!  Most of the time I have a professional makeup artist on set, but Alana did her makeup all on her own, and it looks great!

A taste of luxury on our new chaise! You can just glimpse our new mirror in the background too, but more on that later.

To finish up, we headed out to the terrace for a little outdoor London boudoir photography. We were even lucky enough to get a little sun.

Alana, you’re a stunner! Thanks so much for a great London boudoir photography session, and best of luck singing those lungs out!

London Boudoir Photography: Miss J’s Outdoor Boudoir Photo Shoot at Antelope Island

London Boudoir Photography: Miss J’s Outdoor Boudoir Photo Shoot at Antelope Island

London boudoir photography is fab, but sometimes you’ve got to get out into the wilderness and play a bit!

On a recent trip to America I had the chance to work with three stunning women on my first Rebel & Romance group session, which we held on the mysterious Antelope Island.

My final vixen of the day was Miss J, and I must say…I’m head over heels in love with her and the London boudoir photography style session we did…

….and her boudoir makeup artistry skills…

…and her fabulous, magical, mind-of-it’s-own hair!

Miss J was the master of a well-coordinated shoot wardrobe. Her first look, a tailored suit jacket over delicate lingerie, has always been one of my favorite options for a london boudoir photography session – and now it’s also a favorite for location shoots…it’s flattering on every body type, and so chic!

Are you sick of seeing these rocks yet?  We were sick of climbing on them in heels, I can tell you that! Not a lot of those in your average London boudoir photography session!

Lovely Miss J slipped into a lacy black number and sparkly shoes for her second look, and as the clouds came rolling in…

…the wind helped us create an absolutely stunning portrait.

To compliment her third lingerie look (an intricate blue corset and black pearls) we chose a patch of tall tall grass, and climbed on in!

As the sun dipped low on the horizon, we headed out to the water where Miss J banged out pose after pose like it was nothin’.

Finally, we added in this amazing Venetian mask. Miss J had picked it up on her way home from Italy this summer, and I think it is absolutely the perfect accessory for a boudoir photo shoot.

Miss J, oh Miss J….what can I say? Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you for all your hard work, for your passion, and for truly inspiring me! May Italy always be close at hand, and London in your future plans. xx – Stormy

P.S. If you’re thinking that Miss J looks like someone famous, but you just can’t put your finger on it, I’ll help you out. It’s Brittany Murphy!!

Can’t get enough? Don’t forget to check out Missy and Jenna’s boudoir photo shoot at Antelope Island, and stay tuned for more London boudoir photography sessions!
