Boudoir Photography: Miss M’s Boudoir Photo Shoot in London

Boudoir Photography: Miss M’s Boudoir Photo Shoot in London

Boys and girls, prepare yourselves, because Miss M is taking no prisoners….

Does she not look like the most ravishing thing ever?! Miss M is wearing a gorgeous Victoria’s Secret slip dress from our wardrobe.

Light and bright eyed. Miss M’s makeup and hair was done by the lovely Sonia from SweetArts Professional Makeup Artists.

We started off with some simple detail shots, which always look stunning in black and white,

and then moved on to a few full length shots to show off those lovely long gams. Gold and black duo heels by Ralph Lauren, also from the Rebel & Romance Boudoir Photography Wardrobe.

Ooh look at that pose! Nailed. It.

Miss M’s face is gorgeous. I know that’s obvious by now, but I just wanted to say it anyway.

And these curls – Miss M! Knock it off – you’re going to make me chop off all my hair again!

Happy is sexy. So are pink-soled, heart peep-toe Alexander McQueens. (Note I said sexy, not comfortable.)

Uhhh, Victoria’s Secret called. They want their bombshell back. Black lace cami and silk kimono wrap by Dolce & Gabbana via the Wardrobe.

A ciggy and glass of bubbly on the balcony to finish, because such hard work certainly deserves a reward.

Miss M, you blew my socks off. You are gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. Thanks for such a fun session, and best of luck with your new venture!

Boudoir Inspiration: Plus Size Boudoir Photography by Steven Meisel

Boudoir Inspiration: Plus Size Boudoir Photography by Steven Meisel

Steven Meisel is an incredibly talented photographer, arguably one of the top 5 fashion photographers in the world. He’s shot campaigns for Prada, Valentino, D&G, Calvin Klein, Versace, and more. A cover shoot for Vogue? It’s just another day at the office for Steven.

This top image? Perfection.

Which brings me to Belle Vere, Steven Meisel’s latest fashion assignment for the June 2011 edition of Vogue Italia. I was thrilled to see that Belle Vere features the stunning plus-size models Candice Huffine, Tara Lynn and Robyn Lawley.

I was also happy to see these gorgeous girls sporting lingerie ensembles from the likes of Alberta Ferretti, Dolce & Gabbana and Agent Provocateur. (Shoot styled by Edward Enninful.)

I’ve included a few of my favorite (work friendly) images from the story here. If you’d like to see the full spread, check out FashionGoneRogue. (FYI: It does feature quite a bit of nudity.)

If I’m 100% honest though, I didn’t LOVE this spread. I don’t think some of these images are very flattering. I know it’s fashion, and because they’ve used plus-size models they’re probably trying to make some sort of statement – but still. If you look at the rest of the spread I think you’ll see what I mean.

P.S. There’s a quick behind-the-scenes video of the shoot here.
